Service details & requirements

Skip the repeated DMV visits and get guided help registering your dirt bike, dual sport or supermoto. StreetOHV reviews your ownership paperwork, vehicle details and preferred registration route, then helps prepare the appropriate documents for submission.

How it works

  1. Choose your options above. Select your proof of ownership, Montana LLC or South Dakota preference, and any applicable plate options.
  2. Complete your document packet. We'll provide instructions and any needed forms, including a power of attorney for notarization where required.
  3. Submit your documents. Send the requested ownership evidence, identification through an appropriate secure channel, and completed forms for processing.
  4. Receive updates and registration documents. Processing and mailing times depend on the agency and paperwork.

Montana or South Dakota?

Montana: Often considered for higher-value or off-highway vehicles, including certain ownership-document situations. A qualifying LLC may be needed, and ongoing LLC or registered-agent obligations can apply. Optional temporary tags and personalized plates may be available if the vehicle and application qualify.

South Dakota: May be an alternative where eligible, particularly where a lender does not permit a transfer to an LLC. Taxes, applicable registration fees and renewals are determined by the state; processing timelines can differ from Montana.

What if I have no title?

If you have only a bill of sale or incomplete ownership paperwork, we can review the situation. Montana may require a MV20 VIN inspection by an authorized inspector. A registration outcome is not guaranteed and additional ownership evidence may be required.

Financed bikes

Ask your lender whether it will permit the proposed registration and title arrangement. The available route depends on the lien and lender requirements.

What you'll need

  • Vehicle year, make, model and VIN
  • Title, manufacturer's certificate of origin (MCO/COO), bill of sale or other ownership records
  • Any lender authorization and required identification submitted securely
  • Completed and notarized forms where applicable

Registering another vehicle?

After you add this service to your cart, you'll see an offer to save $100 on an eligible additional vehicle in the same order. That second vehicle uses the Any Vehicle registration builder; this dirtbike listing remains its own standalone service.

Before you order

Vehicle equipment, licensing, insurance, approval and road-use legality depend on applicable jurisdictions and your circumstances. An out-of-state registration does not automatically authorize operation on every public road. Processing times are estimates, not guarantees. Refund eligibility is governed by the posted service terms and applicable law. All requested documents must be provided to complete the service.
