How Registration Works

How StreetOHV Registration Works

We keep the process simple on the customer side even when the paperwork is not.

1. Choose Your Vehicle

Select Dirt Bike / Supermoto, eMoto, or Any Vehicle so the site asks only the questions relevant to your situation.

2. Tell Us What You Have

Provide the vehicle details and ownership information requested for your route. Depending on the situation, that can include a title, MCO/COO, bill of sale, VIN inspection, lender information, identification, or other supporting documents.

3. We Review the Registration Path

StreetOHV reviews the information supplied and identifies the supported route. Financing, missing ownership paperwork, vehicle type, and government requirements can affect which route is available.

4. Complete the Required Documents

If signatures, notarization, lender authorization, VIN inspection, original ownership documents, or other forms are required, we provide the applicable instructions. Customers must complete requested steps accurately and promptly.

5. Processing and Delivery

Once the required package is complete, the registration process proceeds through the applicable agent or government office. Processing and carrier times are estimates and can vary because government agencies, lenders, and carriers operate independently of StreetOHV.

Additional Vehicles

Eligible additional Montana vehicle registrations may receive a $100 discount when added with an eligible Montana registration. The dedicated eMoto path is not part of that additional-Montana-vehicle discount.

Important

Registration eligibility is fact-specific. StreetOHV does not promise that every vehicle or document situation qualifies for every registration route, and customers remain responsible for laws that apply where the vehicle is principally used, garaged, insured, or operated. See our Terms & Conditions for full service terms.

HOW STREETOHV REGISTRATION WORKS

A clear path through complicated registration.

Every vehicle and paperwork situation is different. Instead of forcing everyone through the same process, StreetOHV starts with your vehicle, ownership documents and financing status, then routes you through the appropriate supported registration path.

01

Tell us what you have

Choose your vehicle type and answer a short set of questions about your title, MCO/COO, bill of sale, financing and existing Montana LLC status.

02

We determine the registration route

Your answers determine which process fits the vehicle. Some situations can use a Montana-based route; certain financed or lender-restricted situations may require a different path such as South Dakota. eMoto uses its own separate process.

03

You complete the required documents

We provide the forms and instructions for your specific route. Depending on the vehicle and paperwork, this can include ownership documents, a power of attorney, bill of sale, VIN verification or lender documentation.

04

We prepare and submit the registration package

Once the required documents are received, we organize the package and move it through the applicable registration process.

05

Your registration is completed

When processing is complete, the applicable registration documents and plate are returned through the normal fulfillment process for that registration route.

COMMON SITUATIONS

What if my paperwork isn’t perfect?

That’s exactly why the qualifier exists.

Missing title

A missing title does not automatically mean the vehicle cannot be registered. The available route depends on what ownership documentation you do have and whether additional verification is required.

Financed vehicle

Financing changes the process because the lender may control the title. We ask about financing early so the application can be routed around lender restrictions where a supported alternative is available.

MCO / COO only

Many off-road vehicles begin life with a manufacturer’s certificate rather than a state title. The qualifier accounts for that paperwork from the start.

Bill of sale

A bill of sale may be part of the ownership chain. We’ll identify what else is needed before the package is submitted.

Existing Montana LLC

If you already have a Montana LLC, tell us in the qualifier. The route and pricing can adjust instead of creating another entity unnecessarily.

Adding another Montana vehicle

Eligible additional Montana registrations in the same flow receive the StreetOHV additional-vehicle discount.

ROUTING

Montana, South Dakota, or eMoto?

Montana

Commonly used when the vehicle and ownership situation fit the Montana registration structure, including applicable LLC-based registrations.

South Dakota

Used for certain situations where financing, lender requirements or the underlying paperwork make a Montana transfer unsuitable.

eMoto

eMoto registration is a separate process from the Montana registration structure. Surron, Talaria and similar electric platforms are routed independently.

The qualifier determines the route based on the information you provide. Final eligibility and documentation requirements can vary by vehicle, lender and jurisdiction.

QUESTIONS

Before you start

Do I need to know which state or route I should use?

No. Start with your vehicle and paperwork. The qualifier is designed to identify the appropriate supported route from your answers.

Can I register more than one vehicle?

Yes. After an eligible Montana registration, you can add another qualifying Montana vehicle and receive the additional-vehicle discount.

What if I don’t have a title?

Continue through the qualifier and select the paperwork you do have. Missing-title situations are evaluated based on the available ownership documents and any verification required.

Is eMoto handled the same way as a dirt bike?

No. eMoto uses a separate registration process. Dirt Bike / Supermoto and eMoto remain distinct paths.

When does processing begin?

Processing begins after the required information, documents and payment for the selected service have been received.

Start with the vehicle. We’ll handle the routing.

You don’t need to figure out the process before you begin.
